I learned that while we cannot alter many of the unfortunate circumstances of our past and present, we could change how we relate to them. I entered the counseling field to use the compassion I feel toward humanity in a constructive and meaningful way – to sincerely listen to and support individuals who seek guidance. I believe that my capacities for compassion and to hold all people in a non-judgmental space of acceptance are my greatest strengths.
